Mission
LiveOurValuesEveryday!!!sm is a public awareness campaign designed to raise the issue of traditional American values, family values and personal values. We believe that values, morals, beliefs and ethics are important and comprise the fabric of our society. Our content, template and techniques provide guidance to help you establish a list of your own ethics, morals, beliefs and values.

Objective

  • To reverse the decline in moral values and lack of boundaries in society by inviting individuals to discover, define and live their values and share L.O.V.Everyday!!!sm
  • To help participants understand that ethics, morals, beliefs and values are the basis for making decisions and that thoughts, words and actions lived in a spirit of LOVE will change their attitude, outlook and focus in life.
  • To convey that the ethics, morals, beliefs and values we live are a primary determinant of our character and reputation, the memories we leave with those we meet in life’s journey and our legacy. In short,

We are delighted to share the LiveOurValuesEveryday!!!sm project with you. Our mission is to motivate each of us to discover, define and live our personal values everyday!!! Ethics, morals, beliefs and values are the basis for the decisions we make. Values determine our character and reputation, the memories we leave with those we meet in life’s journey and ultimately, our legacy.

This country, which we love and cherish, was founded on very noble and worthy principles. We, the people and our government, have stood for everything good in the world for many, many years and have helped spread freedom, dignity and goodwill throughout the world. We were an honest, decent, caring and generous country that lived our lives and ran our government based on those principles and values. Our country was truly the shining beacon, and the world knew us for who we were.

Somewhere along the way, our American values and principles started to decline, and the pace has accelerated in the last few years. Boundaries have been compromised, widened or erased, and behavior that used to be frowned upon and not accepted—such as lying, stealing, cheating, cursing and berating—have become commonplace. We have been concerned by the deterioration of moral values and the lack of boundaries, and now we share that concern with you.

We are seeing the first generation of kids who were not taught moral values and societal beliefs by their parents and whose parents compromised and/or ignored many of the age-old values of society. Therefore, many kids, teens and young adults have no boundaries, and many traditional rules no longer apply to their behavior. Strong family values is key to our society. In the past, parents, religious institutions and, to a certain extent, schools taught values. Today, schools are reluctant to address the issue, significantly fewer people attend religious organizations on a regular basis and some parents are simply not doing the job. In order for our country to maintain its common bond, we must reflect upon and reclaim the American values upon which our country was founded and which prior generations lived and held dear. We believe that has to start with each one of us individually; this project is an opportunity for us to discover, define and live our individual and collective values.

We have developed the LiveOurValuesEveryday!!!sm campaign and L.O.V.Everyday!!!sm slogan and logo to bring attention to this issue. If we think about our thoughts, words and actions through the spectrum of Love, we have the right focus and attitude in life. We become more comfortable with our self and our decisions, leave a favorable impression with people we meet in life’s journey and enhance our reputation and our legacy. In short,

We hope you will take the opportunity to think about your morals, values and beliefs as well as the boundaries you place on your life. If you have defined your values and are striving to live them everyday!!!, we welcome you to join the mission and be a resource to those around you. If you are in the discovery or rediscovery process, we encourage you to put some structure and discipline into your life. Think of it as a fresh start! We hope you’ll also help us with our school program and help kids develop their own moral values. With a strong definition of values, morals and ethics, we believe that we can impact individuals, families and communities.

If we harken back to our founding fathers and the values that made this country great, we will find that the list will start with honesty and integrity. A person’s word was his bond and it was good as gold. We meant what we said and we followed through on our words. We did not lie, steal or cheat. Second, we cared for our family, our neighbors, our community and our country. There was a sense of greater good and the sum of all our actions did indeed produce more than our individual actions. We were not selfish or greedy. We were kind and generous with our gifts and monetary resources and we defended those that were persecuted and needed our help. We gave to those less fortunate and we fought wars to defeat those who were evil. We did all this out of a sense of duty and responsibility as the leader of the free world. We were not arrogant and we did not take advantage of others weakness or misfortune. We earned the respect of the world and the world admired all that was good about us. We epitomized the word LOVE in that we emphasized the good and positive and minimized those behaviors considered to be wrong or harmful.

Where are we today? Survey after survey reports the significant deterioration in values, morals and ethics from older demographic groups to the younger generation. Today, it is about living for the moment, self indulgence and self promotion. Discipline and self control are relics of the past. We say or do whatever is necessary without regard for honesty, integrity or the impact on the other person. We are very negative in our words and thoughts. We seem to be sad and hurt more often. We are searching for meaning and significance because we do not have a solid foundation based on values. The soul of this great country has been infiltrated with moral decay and the pendulum has swung to selfish and destructive behaviors. We have seem to forgot about the concept of LOVE and sharing L.O.V.Everyday!!!sm with those around us.

Our mission is to not only bring us back to equilibrium but to tilt the scales back to good, just and right by encouraging all our fellow citizens to think about their list of personal values and the morals, values and beliefs that made this country great. We can be the shining beacon leading this world again if each one of us takes inventory of our principles and we collectively take our responsibilities as individuals, parents, neighbors, community members and American citizens seriously. We need to emphasize the good in all of us and minimize the selfish and destructive behaviors. We need to think about our thoughts, words and actions through the spectrum of sharing L.O.V.Everyday!!!sm We need to remember that

We believe that if our values include honesty, decency, respect, kindness and generosity, we will have a peaceful and fulfilling life. We will be comfortable with our words and actions. The decisions that we make will be easier. We will have a positive impact on those around us. As mentioned previously, we also like to think of values in the context of our character, reputation and our legacy. The only things we leave behind are memories with the people we meet in life’s journey, images that people associate with our name and the values that we teach our kids. Whether we realize it or not, all the people we meet during our journey will form an opinion of us and will most likely share that opinion with other people. The question we all need to ask of ourselves is, “What are they going to say about me?”

While history cannot be changed, the rest of today and all of tomorrow is a clean slate. Each of us can have a positive impact if we think about our words, thoughts and actions through the spectrum of sharing L.O.V.Everyday!!!sm We encourage you to make a fresh start, be cognizant of and discard those bad habits you may have picked up, choose the values that define you, display them in a visible place and Live Your Values Everyday!!!

We would like to thank those who gave us guidance on this project and we hope that hearts will be receptive and lives will be touched. While we firmly believe in the values and principles this country was founded on and contained in the Mayflower Compact, Declaration of Independence, Constitution and writings of our forefathers, we will not impose our values on anyone who reads this content. Everyone will be given the opportunity to choose his or her own values with the LiveOurValuesEveryday!!!sm template. Our country has welcomed many different groups over the years and we respect their religious views and values, but our basic values which are built on a foundation of honesty, respect, responsibility and generosity should not be compromised and should be carried forward by future generations. We invite you to join us on the LiveOurValuesEveryday!!!sm campaign and mission.

Please proceed to the pages that best describe your demographic group or groups. You will read a commentary and will have an opportunity to discover, display and live your values. Parents, please view the L.O.V.E. Kids Page.
